Nervecentre is a core application and a suite of mobile applications that manage the communication, coordination and prioritisation of activities across the hospital. This can include managing hospital at night jobs, escalations to doctors for triggering patients, or referrals to specialists.

Nervecentre maintains full synchronisation of information between information shown on web pages for eHandover or H@N coordinators, and information shown on mobile devices, taking the effort out of keeping everyone working from the same information.

Nervecentre is device agnostic supporting all of the major mobile devices with native applications that maximise the user experience.

There are four core aspects to Nervecentre's capabilities.

Event Capture and Notification. Nervecentre supports a broad set of capabilities for capturing hospital events, from manual forms to HL7 integration into hospital systems. Click here to see a full list of supported integrations. Those events are then processed according to the configured business logic. Events may be routed to an appropriate member of staff based on their skill, location and availability.

Mobile Device Integration. The goal of Nervecentre is to provide each hospital employee with a single device which is their telephone and their portal into hospital systems and processes. Nervecentre is device independent supporting Cisco IP Phones, Blackberry Mobile devices and Nokia E-Series smart-phones today, with a roadmap to support Apple iPhone and Android phones. The support for Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC) with devices supporting both WiFi and cellular allows staff to engage with your processes from anywhere, regardless of the maturity of your WiFi deployment.

Workforce Management and Optimisation. Nervecentre can manage the distribution of activities to a team, allowing activities to be distributed fairly and to the person most suitable for a given task. Supervisor dashboards provide an at-a-glance view of the team's performance, location and workload. Nervecentre provides the governance to ensure that tasks are completed within expected timeframes, escalating those tasks which have not been completed within the target time. This removes the need for clinical staff to constantly chase activities and allows them to focus their time on providing care.

Reporting. Sophisticated automatic reporting provides managers with regular updates on both process performance and staff performance. Reports can be delivered automatically via email on a daily, nightly or weekly basis. More granular reports are available online allowing drill down into the performance of a process, team or individual.
